From skating along the shores of mountain lakes in Switzerland, to cruising through the deserts of Arizona, we’ve scoured the skate calendar to let you know which events are coming up in your area, and the big hitters that you won’t want to miss!
Chicago Inline Marathon
July 23, 2017 – Chicago, IL
Featuring multiple races distances, the Chicago Inline Marathon is the 2nd largest inline marathon in the States. 10K, half marathon, and full marathon options are available to accommodate varying fitness levels, and this event has become a summer time tradition in the area.
Minnesota Half Marathon
August 5, 2017 – St. Paul, MN
Now in its 13th year, the Minnesota Half takes place along the banks of the Mississippi River in beautiful St. Paul. Distances include a 6K and half marathon.
Engadin Inline Marathon
September 10, 2017 – St. Moritz, Switzerland
Set along pristine mountain lakes in the heart of the Swiss Alps, the Engadin Inline Marathon is one of the most spectacular events of the season. Taking place in early fall, the magnificent surroundings and perfect temps will serve as the perfect distraction when your legs start to bonk on the final 5K.
Northshore Inline Marathon
September 16, 2017 – Duluth, MN
Entering it’s 22nd year, the Northshore Inline Marathon is the premier inline skate event in the U.S., and perhaps the most scenic. Last year’s event brought nearly 2000 participants to the north shores of Lake Superior, no doubt due to the multiple races distances offered, first rate race setup and support crews, and fantastic course design.
Berlin Marathon
September 23, 2017 – Berlin, Germany
The Berlin Marathon enters it’s 44th year as the largest inline skate marathon in the world. The premier event on the inline skate marathon calendar offers a challenging course and features some of the best distance inline skaters in the world. The race is open to all abilities, and last year’s race drew 5500 participants.
New York City Skate Marathon & NYC 100K
September 30, 2017 – New York City, NY
The New York City Skate Marathon draws some of most elite distance inline skates in the world, but is open to all and offers a chance to skate amongst the best in the heart of the Big Apple.
Athens to Atlanta Road Skate
October 8, 2017 – Atlanta, GA
87 miles. That is the distance from Athens to Atlanta on the oldest and most famous road skate in the States. For those that don’t have the legs for the full 87, alternative distances of 49 and 38 miles are offered, with the 49 mile leg also finishing in Atlanta.
Saguaro Sunrise
October 22, 2017 – Oro Valley, AZ
The first annual Saguaro Sunrise inline skate races take place in the warm, dry Arizona desert and is bound to offer perfect fall conditions for inline skating. 42k, 21k, and 5k distances available.
